Terms and Conditions

RESERVE A TOUR

Please read the following terms and conditions before you decide to book a tour with us. Please, get in contact with us if you require any further information or have questions regarding the tours and booking procedures.

Deposits and payments
A security deposit of $500 per person is required in order to confirm your booking with OffThePathTours, LLC. The remaining balance must be received at least 8 weeks before the scheduled start of your tour with us. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if, after the initial deposit, you decide not to pay for the rest of the tour package. If you are booking with us only 8 weeks before the start of your scheduled tour, the full amount will be required to confirm your booking.

Insurance
We advise you to have travel insurance that will cover various costs such as flight cancellation, baggage loss, medical expenses, emergency evacuation and repatriation. If a traveler is not able to purchase insurance, he/she must sign an indemnification agreement, relieving OffThePathTours, LLC of any responsibilities in case of such an event.

Cancellation and changes
Please, inform us by mail or email if you would like to cancel your reservation. We will refund the initial deposit of $500 and any additional payment you have made if you cancel your booking more than 60 days before the scheduled start of the trip. You will receive 50% of your total payment if you decide to cancel your reservation from 60 to 30 days before the start of the tour, and 30% of your total payment if you decide to cancel your booking from 30 to 0 days prior to your departure.

Passports & Visas
All clients traveling to Greece require a passport. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of expected departure from Greece. US, Canadian, UK, and Australian nationals do not require a visa to enter Greece. Other nationals should seek information by contacting their embassy. Visas are not necessary when traveling to Greece unless one is planning on staying in the country longer than 90 days.

Flights and airline reservations
Please, try to book your flight to Crete/ Greece once your reservation has been confirmed with us (after the initial deposit). We recommend that you book your flight ca. 4-3 months before the scheduled start of our trip. Airfare prices tend to become more expensive when you decide to make a reservation 8-4 weeks before your trip to Greece. We are not affiliated with any airline but would be more than happy to assist you with finding the right deal for you and your family.
Please, make sure that you arrive on Crete the day our tour starts. If you decide to arrive on the island a few days before our tour starts or stay longer after the completion of our tour we will not be able to transfer you to the airport and you will have to make your own travel arrangements. If for some reason (delay, flight cancellation) you arrive late on the island we will try to do our best in order to accommodate you and make sure that you join our group.

Liability & client conduct
You acknowledge that participating in one of our tours requires a degree of flexibility, and understand that the route of a trip, accommodation and means of transportation can change without prior notice due to local circumstances. Most services during the tour are provided by third parties. Off The Path Tours LLC is not liable for any loss, damage, death, accident, injury, delay, or irregularity caused from negligence by any third party (airlines, ferries, rental car services, hotels, restaurants and other contractors) or the negligence of his customers.
By booking with Off The Path Tours LLC, the client agrees to abide by the authority of the tour leader during the entire duration of the trip. We advice our clients to follow the laws, government regulations, and local customs of the country of Greece. Should the client fail to comply with the above or commit any illegal act when on the tour or, if in the opinion of the tour leader, the client’s behavior is causing or is likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others, Off The Path Tours LLC reserves the right to terminate the client’s travel arrangements without any liability or responsibility on our part and the client will not be entitled to any refund.

Payment for a tour is taken as acknowledgment and acceptance of all of the above terms and conditions.
